Metaphors
I got the idea for this blog post a long time ago, but wasn't passionate about writing it until today as I was listening to Daft Punk's new song "Get Lucky". The metaphor I hear in their song is about "Getting Lucky," but is it about them as a band, or something else?
Metaphors make everything easier. We use them in speech, writing, songs, etc. all of the time. Like analogies, they make it easier to describe something. That time I used a simile... But, metaphors are great for other things. They make you sound clever. "Oh, I didn't think of it that way..." They also make it easier to sound objective and stay above gossipy situations:
